Boot socks are longer and cushioned: they finish well above the cuff of a walking boot, work boot or welly, and pad the heel and ball of the foot where hard ground does its damage.

The Alpaca Boot Socks are the warmer of the two, for cold and wet days and for standing about. The Merino Boot Sock has a ribbed leg that stays up under a cuff and breathes better on long climbs; the bundle means there's always a dry pair in the pack.

Which size should I choose?

Alpaca sizes are Small UK 4-7, Medium 8-10 and Large 11-13. Merino boot socks are Small UK 3-6, Medium 6-9 and Large 9-12.
