Packaging that doesn't need an apology
Most sock packaging is designed to be thrown away the moment you open it. Ours isn't. It's kraft paper, nothing else — no plastic window to peer through, no laminate, no little hook of polythene at the top. Just paper, some ink, and not much else to think about.
When you're done with it, it goes on the compost heap, not in a bin lorry. It'll be gone in a few weeks. We think that's a fairly low bar for packaging to clear, and we're mildly surprised more of it doesn't.
Both the bag and the box are fully compostable — so once you're done with your order, everything it arrived in can go straight into the compost rather than the landfill. Either way, it's just as sturdy as standard packaging, but kinder from the start — made from renewable materials instead of petroleum, and built to leave a lighter footprint behind.
